podNow you can listen to
BVBID Chapel Presentations
through Apple's iTunes

Beginning with the September 2005 school year, BVBID Chapel presentation, seminars and sermons can now be heard through a new technology called "podcasting" using Apple's iTunes software (or any other "podcatching" software). This free software, available for both PC and Mac computers, allows you to "subscribe" to our Chapel presentations. Once you subscribe to our "feed," iTunes checks for the most current podcast available and downloads it for you. Once downloaded, you can listen to it on your computer anytime and if you use a MP3 player, like Apple's iPod, you can listen anywhere you want to.

itunesWhat is a podcast?

Think of a podcast as on demand radio. Once you subscribe to a feed, your computer downloads the program automatically and makes it available to you when you want. The word comes from combining "iPod," Apple's portable MP3 player and "broadcast." BUT YOU DON"T HAVE TO HAVE AN iPOD TO DO THIS! Any computer can download and play podcasts with the right software. Fast forward, skip or delete shows you don't want (now do that with your normal radio station). It is what you want to listen to, when and where you want to listen to it. If you would like more information about podcasting visit Podcasting News - this is a digital magazine about what is current with the technology and how you might get started podcasting your sermons or other audio.

What will BVBID be podcasting?

In addition to Chapel sermons we will be podcasting special presentations and seminars as well. Now you can hear what our students hear everyday in chapel just as if you were here with us. Occasionally, we will also podcast Bible classes taught by our faculty and staff. We hope that you will find all of these programs uplifting and rewarding.
