Some Biblical Facts About Preaching
Here
are some observations and biblical facts about
preaching. Study each one very carefully. They will help
you see the importance placed on preaching by God and
His word. Hopefully, they will help you see the need
for preparing to preach.
- God was the first Preacher. He taught Adam and Eve good news (Gen. 1-3).
- Jesus was a preacher (cf. Mk. 1:38). To preach is to follow His example.
- Preaching is commanded by Christ (Mk. 16:15, 16).
- Preaching the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation (Rom. 1:14-16).
- People cant hear without a preacher (Rom. 10:10-17).
- The Word of God must be preached (2 Tim. 4:1-5).
- The world is lost and needs to hear the Gospel (1 Jno. 5:19).
- John the baptist came preaching. He prepared the way for Christ by preaching (Matt. 3:1-6).
- Preaching snatches men out of the fire (Jude 23).
- God chose the foolishness of preaching to save people (1 Cor. 2:14).

We could go on and on with biblical comments and relevant comments about preaching. If these 50 dont motivate you, one or a hundred more wont. Study and pray about these reasons. Make a decision. Take a step of faith. What God calls you to do, He will equip you to do (Eph. 3:20; 1 Thess. 5:14).
